SACRA/PROFANA kickoff their 7th Season with Chant Macabre, a dark and enchanting choral perspective on mortality. In observance of All Saints’ Day and Dia de los Muertos, this candlelight concert will feature hauntingly beautiful pieces spanning from the 17th century with Henry Purcell all the way to the present day with chilling compositions by living composers. Under the direction of Associate Artistic Director, Juan Carlos Acosta, Chant Macabre will introduce brand new venues to SACRA/PROFANA audiences. Join “San Diego’s go-to choral ensemble” for this immersive concert by candlelight in this ominous and alluring celebration. Refreshments will be served.
