The Athenaeum’s popular film and wine series, “Flicks on the Bricks,” returns for a ninth year with a new twist. Guests are invited to the Athenaeum’s outdoor patio for balmy summer nights and screenings of classic cinema as each of the four feature films will be paired with delightful summer wines selected by wine historian and official wine expert of Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Barbara Baxter. Before each classic flick, the winning films from Shorts & Briefs in the Library, the Athenaeum’s inaugural short film competition, will be screened. The Athenaeum Film Committee selected Play and Repeat by Lana Z Caplan, Eat at Art By Kirby Kendrick and Tyler Jordan,  The New Look by Annette Cyr and Move(meant) by Rizzhel Mae Javier.
