I Said What I Said: An Evening of Black Storytelling
June 18 @ 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM

In honor of Juneteenth, So Say We All joins forces with the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego for I Said What I Said: An Evening of Black Storytelling on June 18, 2026. Inspired by Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys, this free program features original stories, poetry, and personal narratives by Black writers and artists exploring themes of creativity, identity, freedom, and lived experience. Presented in response to one of the year’s most significant exhibitions of Black contemporary art, the evening offers a powerful celebration of storytelling as a vehicle for reflection, connection, and cultural expression.
