Opera and ballet unite in a striking new interpretation of Giacomo Puccini’s Il Tabarro, presented by Cinballera Entertainment on July 19, 2026 at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido. The afternoon begins with Puccini’s rarely performed one-act opera—a haunting tale of love, jealousy, and betrayal set aboard a Parisian river barge—before transforming after intermission into an original neoclassical ballet adaptation of the same story. Featuring the lush orchestral score without vocals, the ballet reimagines the drama entirely through movement, offering audiences two distinct artistic perspectives on a single timeless masterpiece.

Presented in collaboration with the Temecula Valley Symphony under the baton of Maestro John Mario Di Costanzo, the production marks the opening of Cinballera Entertainment’s fourth season.
