The San Diego Tijuana International Jazz Festival returns October 1–4, 2026, celebrating the rich cultural exchange that defines one of North America’s most dynamic binational regions. Produced by San Diego Jazz Ventures, the expanded four-day festival features an inspiring lineup of free and ticketed performances by acclaimed artists from the United States, Mexico, and Latin America. Highlights include Grammy-winning drummer Brian Blade and the Fellowship Band, renowned Panamanian pianist Danilo Pérez, New York’s Mingus Dynasty performing selections from Charles Mingus’ Tijuana Moods, and rising Mexican jazz vocalist Lucía Gutiérrez alongside her father, Grammy-winning son jarocho musician Ramón Gutiérrez. Blending world-class performances with educational programs and cross-border collaboration, SDTJ Jazz offers a vibrant celebration of jazz as a universal language connecting communities across cultures and generations.
