PechaKucha Nights are creative, social and informal. This presentation format was created by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of Klein Dytham Architecture in 2003. It was planned as an event for designers and creative types of all disciplines to meet, network, and showcase their work, and play, in public. The concept is simple: each presenter is allowed 20 images, each shown for 20 seconds, giving 6 minutes 40 seconds of floor time and expression before the next presenter is up. It all makes for succinct and stimulating presentations from across the board. PechaKucha Night occurs in hundreds of locations around the world but the San Diego Architectural Foundation serves as San Diego’s official host chapter of PechaKucha Night. Join fellow creatives for an evening of inspiration, in one of San Diego’s most uniquely art-filled community event spaces: IDEA1.
