BEHIND THE SCENES OF ‘TRIFECTA: ART, SCIENCE, PATRON’

Details

Date:
November 19, 2022
Time:
4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

Join us for the premiere of three short films created about La Jolla Historical Society’s exhibition 2021 Trifecta: Art, Science, Patron. Created in collaboration with Warehouse Media, and through the generous support of the Ray Thomas Edwards Foundation, these short documentary films include in-depth conversations with Curator Chi Essary, as well as featured artists and Salk scientists. Artists were tasked with creating a work of art inspired by their time with visionary scientists from the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. Discover the unique, collaborative process undertaken to realize this interdisciplinary exhibition, and hear from the filmmakers about their creative process, and the mission of Warehouse Media.

Films:

  • Behind the Scenes tour of Trifecta: Art, Science, Patron
  • Artist + Scientist Interview: Xuchi Naungayan Eggleton and Dr. Reuben Shaw
  • Artist + Scientist Interview: Einar De la Torre and Dr. Gerald Shadel

Light refreshments will be served.

Saturday, November 19th 4:00 – 5:30PM
