Iluminación is a ceremony where hundreds of candles are lit to guide souls during Dia de los Muertos.
Camarada’s new season at the reimagined Mingei International Museum is designed to lift your spirits and soar beyond the concert experience. The journey begins with a chamber version of Danse Macabre by Saint Saëns followed by the impassioned Concertino for flute, viola and double bass by Erwin Schulhoff. Two American composers James Stephenson and Bill Douglas showcase their Latin zest with Mexican Folklore Suite and Salsa Cantando. Miguel del Aguila’s Conga-Line in Hell complete this feast with sly Latin American dance rhythms over a repeating and haunting piano motif.
