Voices of Our City Choir began out in the street: connecting with the unhoused community around music. VOOCC supports their Member’s journeys towards permanent housing by connecting them to essential resources such as workshops to build self-esteem, and opportunities to nurture creativity. They also offer hot showers, food, and of course, a strong sense of belonging. You see the impact in their smiles from the stage, and camaraderie behind the scenes but their talent has also brought smiles to the world stage. With their original song “Sounds of the Sidewalk”, this dynamic and powerful choir competed in America’s Got Talent and won the Golden Buzzer! Don’t miss this exciting theatre and music performance produced in partnership with the La Jolla Playhouse and Moxie Theatre.
