2019 Meet the Winemaker: Camillo Magoni

Baja Wine + Food in collaboration with Vanguard Culture presented an exclusive opportunity to meet the godfather of winemaking in México, the living legend Camillo Magoni, founder/owner of Bodegas Magoni. With wine in hand, guests heard all about the history of winemaking in the region from the only person who has witnessed 55 harvest seasons in Baja’s wine country and experimented with 112 different grape varietals. The wine tasting experience was accompanied by live music, Baja cheeses and charcuterie boards, while enjoying the stunning downtown San Diego skyline from IDEA1’s exclusive rooftop Club House.

A portion of the proceeds go to Vanguard Culture, a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to advancing San Diego’s Creative Industries.
