Dinner with Iconic British Fashion Designer Zandra Rhodes. Featuring a colorful menu INSPIRED BY DAME RHODES, designed by Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa Chef Aaron Obregon.
Wine pairings provided by Baja Wine + Food. 21+ Only.
Zandra Rhodes was part of a new wave of British designers who put London at the forefront of the international fashion scene in the 1970s. Her designs are considered clear, creative statements, dramatic but graceful, bold but feminine. Her unconventional and colorful prints are often inspired by travel; chevron stripes from Ukraine, North American Indian symbols, Japanese flowers, calligraphy, and shells.[1] She made her biggest splash in 1977 with the establishment take on punk which she called Conceptual Chic. Rhodes is the founder of the Fashion and Textile Museum in London and has designed for Diana, Princess of Wales. Freddie Mercury and Brian May of Queen. She continues to design for royalty and celebrities, as well as sets and costumes for several opera houses including The San Diego Opera, the Houston Grand Opera, and English National Opera.
