(Part FOUR) THE HISTORY OF JOY: Our Earth

NOW STREAMING!

The History of Joy: Our Earth is PART FOUR of Vanguard Culture’s 4-PART FILM SERIES inspired by the 8 pillars of joy outlined in The Book of Joy by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu with Doug Abrams. This segment explores climate justice through the lens of Compassion and Generosity. The Book of Joy suggests that joy is not an external thing to strive for, but rather something that lives within us and which “can be accessed at any time in spite of life’s inevitable suffering.”

A post-apocalyptic re-imagining of the three little pigs story. The three pigs have separated and formed their own clans to create the kingdoms of Brick, Plastic, and Lead. They are no longer on speaking terms and are convinced that the wolves have been destroying the earth’s resources as payback for past grievances, only to discover the horrifying truth about these all-consuming wolves. Viewers will explore the pillars of Compassion & Generosity.

The History of Joy was produced by Vanguard Culture, a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to advancing San Diego’s creative industry workforce.
